Kirsten, the founding principal of architektura PLC with nearly 20 years of industry experience, fortunate to have received training from mentor and father. Focusing on phase planning, concept design, firm management.

Prior to founding architektura PLC, Kirsten was an architect at GMB AE in Holland Michigan for over ten years, where she also first interned during college and was able to work side by side with her father. Her projects included a diverse range from complex renovations/additions to new construction for educational K-12, commercial, and residential clients.

Aside from running her architecture practice, Kirsten is also a member of the Rotary Club of Grand Haven and sits on the Board as its Chair of the Foundation and International Service Committee. Kirsten is 2020/2021 co-chair for WEHOP and in January 2020 she joined the Tri-Cities YMCA Board and sits on the Facility Committee.

Further, Kirsten is also a member of the Planning Commission for the City of Grand Haven. Her dedication and service to the community and others shows not only if her professional as well as personal life.
