how we work: the process begins with listening, exploring, sketching and often collaborating with other
professionals in the area. The approach to architecture truly begins with understanding the client’s vision,
which then evolves into a series of exercises to develop a unique solution for our clients. We use hand
sketches, physical models, and 3D software to develop a vision that can be seen before it is built. We truly
dedicate ourselves to customer service and satisfaction throughout the entire process.
people: Kirsten A. Runschke is a registered architect in the State of Michigan, member of AIA, NCARB
certified as well as a LEED Accredited Professional. She is also a member or Grand Haven Rotary, where she
has recently earned a Paul Harris Fellow award for her dedication and service to the community, as well as a
Youth Exchange Officer. Kirsten is member of the Planning Commission for City of Grand Haven. She has
over 13 years of professional experience working in the industry with a variety of owners, contractors,
consultants, and community leaders.
She is joined by her father, Gernot A. Runschke, who holds his architecture degree from HTL Detmold,
Germany. With over 45 years of experience, he continues to excel in the field of architecture in his new role as
an independent consultant to many long standing clients. Gernot will be Rotary District Governor 2016-2017
for District 6290, and he has served as a Rotarian for over 25 years, dedicating his life to helping others.
